Explore the rise and fall of industry in Wellesley’s Lower Falls with the Wellesley Historical Society’s exclusive walking tour. This 90-minute experience traces both sides of the Charles River, where powerful waterways once fueled nationally renowned paper mills and supported a thriving mill village. Along the way, you’ll learn how early residents shaped the community, with stops including St. Mary’s Church and the former community hall—now home to Lower Falls Wine Company.
This free, small-group tour is capped at 25 participants to ensure an engaging and detailed experience. Join us in uncovering the legacy of Lower Falls while supporting the Society’s ongoing work to preserve and share Wellesley’s history.
Gathering Location: Outside the Dunkin Donuts at 12 Washington St, Wellesley
