The Digital Archives Intern will work directly with the Archivist. Intern duties will include digitizing our collection of oral history tapes. Duties will also include creating transcripts and summaries for each recording. Great opportunity for those who are interested in learning the process of preservice digital records as well as have a great attention to detail.

The Development & Event Intern will assist in all aspects of the Wellesley Historical Society’s development operations. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning and execution of special events, assisting with research projects, supporting gift acknowledgement and fulfillment activities, and providing administrative support to Executive Director as needed. Good opportunity for students interested in non-profit management, events, fundraising, and art museums.

The Photography Intern will assist in photography projects at the Wellesley Historical Society. Responsibilities will be taking photos during Society events, the current exhibition, and collections items. Intern will organize and manage all of the photography that has been taken. Requirement: Interest in photography, have a professional camera, and must attend all events.es here

The Social Media Internship focuses on content creation and online community engagement. In this role, you’ll help brainstorm and produce content for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn; assist with scheduling posts; help track performance analytics; and contribute fresh ideas to grow the Wellesley Historical Society’s brand presence. The ideal candidate is organized, enthusiastic about digital trends and comfortable writing and creating short-form content. This internship offers hands-on experience in social strategy, brand storytelling and real-time audience interaction.

The Education and Tours Intern duties will include assisting in the evaluation of educational programs and public tours, giving tours to incoming groups, and writing new tours for the visitors. A successful applicant for this position will be able to work with both children and adults in an educational setting, be highly organized, and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
