Research

in-person research

The Wellesley Historical Society receives between 150 and 200 scholarly inquiries and visits each year.  As a small non-profit, we try to be as helpful and accommodating as possible to help researchers find what they need and support their work.

The archives at the Historical Society include a variety of resources available to scholars, students, genealogists, and general researchers. Access to the Society’s archives and collections is by appointment only. Members may use the Society’s archives free of charge while non-members are charged a $20 fee, per person, per day. For historic homes research, there is a file-search fee of $20 for non-members and real estate agent inquiries.
