In 1849, Dr. George Parkman, a Boston Brahmin, and one of the richest businessmen in the city, was found dismembered and burned in a laboratory at Harvard Medical School. Retired Massachusetts Superior Court Justice Dennis Curran will recount what led up to the murder and the sensational trial that followed.
